Bad Data Doesn't Sink Companies. Misread Data Does.
Rafael Carreno spent years inside large corporations watching smart operators make costly decisions from dashboards built by people who didn't understand the business. That gap is what this firm was built to close.
Why We Built This
Across finance, marketing, and operations roles at companies like Burger King and Costa—a $700M floriculture operation—Rafael watched the same failure repeat itself. A data team would build a dashboard, hand it to an operator, and the operator would either ignore it or misuse it, because the dashboard wasn't built in their language, around the decisions they actually had to make. The data engineers understood the tables, not the business.
That's what drove the decision to build this firm, to offer something the market wasn't providing: a team of business people who know data. Rafael brings finance, marketing, and operations depth. Santi, our data engineer, came up through accounting and finance before moving into data engineering. Sadye spent years as a Director of Finance at large organizations before joining the team. We came from the business world, and learned to build the infrastructure that makes intelligence actionable.
The model reflects that. We start with data engineering: centralizing your data so that you don't have to log in to half a dozen accounts just to get a complete picture of your business. From there we build the BI layer: no more than 10 KPIs that synthesize your data into decisions—built for operators, in your language. Then, we build the financial planning model that ties your operational KPIs directly to your financial targets, so when a number is missed, there's a tactical explanation, not a shrug.
We stay small deliberately, and it's the reason every client we work with is treated with the care and attention they deserve. If you're tired of making decisions from reports that don't reflect how your business actually works, this was built for you.
Business context before data architecture
We don't touch your data warehouse until we understand how your operation makes money. The infrastructure has to serve the business, not the other way around.
No more than 10 KPIs — ever
More metrics don't produce better decisions. We build the shortest path from your data to the handful of numbers that actually drive your business forward.
Operators read it, or we rebuild it
If your team isn't using the dashboard, the dashboard is wrong. We build in your language, for the people making daily decisions, not for analysts reviewing it quarterly.
Fixed scope, firm price — we eat the overrun
Projects are quoted with a range. If we exceed it, that's our problem. You'll never get a surprise invoice because the work took longer than we estimated.
Small by design, accountable by necessity
We stay small so every client relationship is one we can't afford to lose. That's not a marketing line. It's how we've structured the business on purpose.
Meet The Team

Rafael Carreno
Founder
Rafael Carreno is the founder of Bridgelight and the lead consultant on every client engagement. He runs the consultative sales process, leads the second-call expert assessment with prospective clients, and sets the strategic direction across every data, BI, and financial planning engagement.
His core philosophy—we're business people who know data, not data people who know business—shapes how the team approaches every project.
Rafael brings deep operational and financial experience across ABA, eating disorder treatment, clinical research, the restaurant industry, and floriculture. He's run budgeting departments, worked alongside C-suite operators, and built the frameworks Bridgelight uses to connect strategic objectives to tactical execution.
His work with clients like Flourish, where the forecasting process contributed an estimated $150 million in valuation over roughly 12 months, reflects what he's actually after: timely, actionable intelligence so executives know today what happened yesterday — and can do something about it.

Santi Galvis
Data Engineer
Santi is Bridgelight's data engineer, responsible for the technical build on every client engagement.
When a client signs, he gets access to all data sources and stands up the data warehouse infrastructure — setting up data replication, building and validating tables, and producing throwaway dashboards so the team can confirm data accuracy with the client before the official BI layer goes up. Clients typically see test data within 8 weeks of project start.
Santi's work is central to Bridgelight's delivery integrity. In one instance, he chose not to bill a client for a completed project because the final product didn't meet the team's internal quality standards — a decision that reflected a $15,000 revenue impact.
He's currently transitioning to Bridgelight full-time, with that move expected to be confirmed once the firm lands 1 or 2 additional clients.

Raul Crespo Carreno
Sales & Marketing Lead
Raul Crespo Carreno leads sales outreach and marketing for Bridgelight. He manages the initial discovery process with prospective clients — pre-qualifying leads, surfacing pain points around fragmented data and disconnected budgets, and handing qualified prospects to Rafael for the expert consultation.
He's also building out Bridgelight's inbound content strategy: keyword research, social media setup across LinkedIn, Facebook, and Instagram, and content production to drive website traffic.
Beyond sales and marketing, Raul is building his capability across Bridgelight's core service pillars—data engineering and business intelligence—with the goal of expanding the firm's delivery capacity to 3 or 4 concurrent new clients.
He's also responsible for building out industry-specific budgeting models as a standalone planning application for the ABA and behavioral health sectors Bridgelight serves.
