Our client was a fast-growing company in eye care. They had highly fragmented data and needed to streamline reporting.
Approach
- As the company grew through acquisitions, they found themselves with locations using 3 different systems.
- Making any decision was challenging because creating a consolidated view required logging in to 3 systems downloading and aligning data then reporting off of the manually merged information.
- We were brought in to simplify reporting for their analysts.
- We created a consolidated data warehouse which normalized and aligned the data across all systems.
- We created a connection to Power BI with an auto refresh allowing for scalable and flexible access.
Results
- The reporting now provided a consolidated view of the operations daily. All 3 systems reported seamlessly as one, but retaining the ability to filter by system if necessary.
